Welcome to our home.

Garth Farm is a third generation family business rearing native breed Welsh Black cattle, Welsh Mountain sheep and Welsh pigs on the Garth Hill, just outside of Cardiff.

The livestock at Garth Farm are grass fed and extensively graze the Garth which provides a happy life and adds to the premium taste. We’d like to share with you the quality food that we’re proud to produce and the beautiful area and surrounding views we get to call home.

The Williams Family

Sustainable Farming & Events

Garth Farm was established in 1959 by husband and wife Elwyn and Sue Williams. It was then managed by their son Edward Williams and wife Karen. A centre to the local community, our farm would welcome those from Pentyrch village and beyond to annual country fairs, barn dances and played an integral role in the local community.

Today, the farm is managed by brothers Ben and Ethan, sons to Ted and Karen.

The farm is managed with the animals and environment at the forefront of every decision we make.

Events at Garth Farm

We have since expanded upon the quality food produce to share the farm’s panoramic views through various events such as community fairs, weddings, and private rental.

Our Annual Garth Country Fair

In 2022, we revived an age-old tradition in our family and hosted our first Garth Country Fair. We are thrilled to announce we will be keeping this welcoming, community experience as an annual, family-friendly event and hope you will join us for the next!

Filming Locations on the Farm

Offering extensive landscapes and variety of backdrops we have had the good fortune to welcome the BBC, BT Sport, S4C and British Heart Foundation to name but a few. It’s a pleasure to provide a wealth of filming options for these creative industries.

Weddings in the Welsh Countryside

With panoramic views, private settings and spacious, serene surroundings, it’s no surprise Garth Farm is a popular choice for weddings and private rental. Share the views with family and friends for any special occasion.

From planting 80,000 trees over the last 50 years to ongoing hedgerow management that supports the essential habitats of British wildlife; preserving the environment and exploring initiatives to help it thrive is a Garth Farm ethos passed through generations.
